Job Description

As a Pet Groomer in Cape Town, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring the welfare of all the pets in our care. Passion for animals is essential!

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming tasks including bathing, cutting, and styling.
• Listen and provide attentive service to pet owners.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace.
• Educate pet owners on grooming services and aftercare.
• Recognize and address any health issues in pets.
• Create a positive and calm environment to reduce pet anxiety.
• Collaborate with fellow team members for efficient workflow.
• Assist in training new grooming staff when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Animal Care/Grooming is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years in a grooming salon or pet care environment

Technical Skills

• Clipping and Styling
• Bather Experience

Soft Skills

• Customer Service
• Team Player

Certifications

• Certified Pet Groomer
• Animal Behavior Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with pet nutrition: Knowledge of proper nutrition to advise pet owners when necessary.
• Experience with various grooming tools: Proficient in the use of clippers, scissors, and other grooming tools.
