We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Urban Planner to join our team in Johannesburg. You will play a crucial role in developing strategic plans for land use and community projects. Responsibilities

• Develop zoning plans and land-use policies to meet community needs.
• Conduct feasibility studies for proposed projects and plans.
• Collaborate with local government officials, civic organizations, and the public.
• Review development proposals to ensure compliance with existing laws.
• Participate in public meetings to present planning proposals and solicit community feedback.
• Analyze environmental data and develop sustainable solutions.
• Prepare reports and presentations on planning projects and findings.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Urban Planning or related field
• Ph.D. is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of urban planning experience

Technical Skills

• Advanced GIS.
• Urban Design

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• LEED Accreditation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with environmental impact assessments: Familiarity with conducting and implementing impact assessments.
