Job Description

As a Corporate Lawyer, you will play a vital role in our firm, assisting clients with various corporate legal matters, from compliance to transactions. The role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly. We are looking for an individual with a proactive attitude and the capacity to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage legal processes related to corporate financing and restructuring.
• Provide strategic advice on corporate governance issues.
• Assist clients in understanding their legal rights and obligations.
• Prepare legal opinions and reports on complex legal issues.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on legal aspects of promotional materials.
• Participate in business development activities to attract new clients.
• Mentor junior legal staff and interns.
• Monitor and analyze legal developments in corporate law.
• Assist with internal compliance audits.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Law
• Postgraduate qualification in Corporate Law is preferable

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in corporate transactions

Technical Skills

• Mergers and Acquisitions

Certifications

• Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Law

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Conversational
