Plant Maintenance Coordinator

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Plant Maintenance Coordinator to lead our maintenance team in Cape Town. This role involves developing maintenance plans, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations and assist with troubleshooting.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed efficiently and effectively.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff.
• Review maintenance requests and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Collaborate with external contractors when necessary.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Develop emergency maintenance procedures.
• Report on maintenance performance metrics to management.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance practices.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with OHS standards.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related fields
• Advanced certification in maintenance management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a maintenance role in the manufacturing sector
