Job Description

As a Milling Operator, you will play a crucial role in operating milling machines to produce high-quality metal and plastic products. This position demands precision, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of milling processes and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines.
• Inspect completed products for conformity to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Train junior operators and assist with onboarding new employees.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the milling process.
• Document all procedures and adjustments made during the milling process.

Requirements

Education

• Matric
• A technical certificate or diploma in milling or related field is advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

• CNC Programming
• Measuring Instruments

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Flexibility

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience with robotics: Knowledge of robotic automation in machining processes.
• Experience in milling food products: Understanding of milling processes applicable to food manufacturing.
