Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Engineer to join our fast-paced team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will ensure our software products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This role involves developing and executing test plans, automating testing processes, and collaborating with developers to identify issues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to quality standards during the software development process.
• Utilize bug tracking and test management tools effectively to track progress and issues.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and identify testing needs.
• Improve test coverage and ensure thorough testing of features and functionalities.
• Participate in sprint planning meetings to understand priorities and schedules.
• Provide timely feedback to help shape the final product.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or relevant field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years in QA, preferably in an Agile environment

Technical Skills

• Mobile Testing Frameworks
• Performance Testing Tools (e.g., JMeter)

• QA Certified Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with API testing using Postman: Hands-on experience in testing RESTful APIs for functionality and performance.
