Job Description

As a Tax Specialist, you will be integral to our team in Pretoria. You will conduct thorough tax assessments, advise clients on tax efficiencies, and prepare detailed reports. The successful applicant will have a passion for tax and a keen eye for detail, ensuring our clients are always one step ahead in compliance and optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Research and interpret complex tax issues relevant to clients.
• Manage a portfolio of clients and serve as primary point of contact.
• Prepare and submit necessary tax forms on behalf of clients.
• Evaluate client financial situations to provide tailored advice.
• Advocate for clients during tax disputes and negotiations.
• Conduct training sessions on tax compliance for clients and staff.
• Assist with the integration of new tax technologies.
• Create detailed reports on tax liabilities and planning.
• Ensure all client documentation is properly maintained and submitted.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Postgraduate qualification in Taxation is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in taxation or accounting

Technical Skills

• Tax Law

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or similar qualification
• Certified Tax Practitioner (CTP)
