We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our vibrant team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine and a profound passion for animal care. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a range of animal health issues, performing surgical procedures, and ensuring that our furry patients receive the highest standard of care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical procedures on animals with precision
  • Consult with pet owners regarding health concerns
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary veterinary team
  • Maintain sanitation and safety in the clinic
  • Engage in client education and support
  • Provide mentorship to less experienced professionals
  • Conduct research to support practice improvements
  • Develop preventive healthcare plans for animal patients
  • Participate in staff training and health assessment workshops
  • Stay compliant with the best practices in veterinary medicine

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science
  • Advanced surgical training is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role highly preferred
