Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our Durban team. In this role, you'll be responsible for dispensing medications, counseling patients, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care and conduct medication therapy reviews.
• Assist in managing inventory and ensuring the availability of medications.
• Work with physicians to optimize patient medication plans.
• Educate pharmacy staff and conduct training as required.
• Participate in community health initiatives and outreach programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting

Technical Skills

• Pharmacy Management Software
• Clinical Pharmacy Practices

Soft Skills

• Communication Skills
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Pharm.D. Preferred
• Certification in Pharmaceutical Care

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Intermediate

• Knowledge of Herbal Supplements: Familiarity with herbal medications and their effects on health.
• Experience with Health and Wellness Programs: Background in pharmacy-led wellness initiatives and patient education.
