Job Description

As our new Veterinarian, you will be at the forefront of animal healthcare in Cape Town. From preventive care to critical treatments, your responsibilities will include diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals to improve the lives of our furry patients.

Responsibilities

  • Examine animals to diagnose their health problems.
  • Perform a range of surgical and medical procedures.
  • Prescribe medications and provide follow-up care.
  • Develop nutritional programmes and management plans for patients.
  • Monitor patients during surgery and recovery.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and interns.
  • Engage with the community to promote animal welfare.
  • Participate in continuing education and training opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and ethical standards.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clinic.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
  • Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)
Experience
  • 1+ years of experience in veterinary practice
