Job Description

As a Public Health Specialist, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals and community organizations to promote public health initiatives. Your data analysis and outreach efforts will help identify health trends and inform policy decisions, contributing to healthier communities throughout East London.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of public health initiatives to address community needs.
• Manage partnerships with community organizations and health providers.
• Utilize data and epidemiological statistics to evaluate public health trends.
• Plan and participate in health fairs, workshops, and training sessions.
• Monitor program outcomes and recommend improvements.
• Support the implementation of health education strategies.
• Facilitate focus groups and surveys to gather community insights.
• Prepare legislative testimony and proposals for funding.
• Engage with the community through social media and digital platforms.
• Conduct research on emerging health issues affecting the community.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health roles
