Software Tester

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Tester to join our dedicated team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software products through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes. You'll work collaboratively with developers to identify bugs and improve user experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the QA efforts in software development projects.
• Perform functional, integration, and system testing.
• Utilize testing tools and frameworks effectively.
• Document and maintain detailed records of testing workflows.
• Engage with developers to improve software design for testability.
• Identify risks and propose mitigations in the testing phase.
• Review code changes and their implications on testing.
• Support user acceptance testing by providing necessary insights.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Relevant testing certifications are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of software testing in web applications

Technical Skills

• Test Automation
• Quality Assurance Management

Certifications

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
• Quality Assurance Certification from a recognized body

Languages

• English: Fluent
