Childcare Worker

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Childcare Worker in Cape Town who is passionate about working with children. You will provide care, early education, and a nurturing environment to support children's growth and development in a structured setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure children's safety and health at all times.
• Develop daily plans for activities that meet the needs of the children.
• Engage with children through play, lessons, and supportive interactions.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development.
• Help children develop social skills and emotional health.
• Prepare nutritious snacks and meals for children as required.
• Manage conflicts between children with effective strategies.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress.
• Encourage creativity and exploration through various activities.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Early Childhood Development qualification

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in childcare or early childhood education

Technical Skills

• Behavior Management
• Nutrition Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Empathy

Languages

• Afrikaans: Intermediate
• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• First Aid Certification: Current First Aid certification is an advantage.
• Bilingual Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language is a plus.
