We are seeking a passionate and dedicated psychologist to join our dynamic team in Durban. Your role will involve providing psychological assessment and therapy to individuals facing mental health challenges. You will work collaboratively with other health professionals to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients' emotional and psychological well-being.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality psychological therapy to clients of various backgrounds.
• Assess and diagnose mental health disorders.
• Support clients with coping strategies and self-management techniques.
• Engage in community outreach and educational workshops on mental health awareness.
• Work with families to provide supportive resources.
• Stay updated on best practices in psychology and mental health services.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology
• PhD in Psychology is an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in psychological counseling or therapy

Technical Skills

• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
• Motivational Interviewing

Soft Skills

• Active Listening
• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Registered Play Therapist: Certification in play therapy for children.
• Experience in group therapy settings: Proficient in facilitating therapy groups.
