Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Registered Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team in Port Elizabeth. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, working closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and ensure optimal recovery for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Perform clinical procedures and assist with diagnostics.
• Promote health education and wellness within the community.
• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
• Maintain infection control standards in all areas.
• Report changes in patient conditions to physicians promptly.
• Lead patient care conferences and document outcomes.
• Participate in nursing research and evidence-based practice.
• Encourage teamwork and collaboration across departments.
• Maintain personal certifications and licenses.

Requirements

Education

• Registered Nurse qualification
• Bachelor of Nursing is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical nursing experience

• Patient Assessment

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

• Skills in electronic health record systems: Prior experience with EHR systems for patient documentation.
