Job Description

As a Basic Traffic Minute Clerk, you will play a vital role in maintaining traffic records and ensuring compliance with regulations. You'll issue permits for oversized vehicles, making sure that all procedures are followed accurately. This position requires a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills to manage interactions with drivers and regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze traffic data for reporting purposes.
• Ensure timely issuance of permits in compliance with regulations.
• Engage with local authorities to enhance traffic management practices.
• Resolve disputes regarding traffic movement with professionalism.
• Maintain updated knowledge of relevant transportation laws and regulations.

• Support the Traffic Supervisor in strategic planning activities.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Valid driver's license

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in traffic management

Technical Skills

• Database management systems

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
