Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tie Sawyer to join our team. The Tie Sawyer will be responsible for sawing and shaping wooden ties for use in railway tracks. The ideal candidate should have experience in the timber industry and possess relevant skills in sawing and shaping wood.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust sawing machines for different timber specifications.
• Responsible for quality control of finished wooden ties.
• Collaborate with quality controllers to maintain standards.
• Help in planning production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and report shortages.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification in woodworking or related field is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sawing and shaping wood.
