Procurement Officer

Job Description

We are in search of a dynamic Procurement Officer to join our procurement team in Durban. The successful candidate will manage the procurement process, ensuring value for money by sourcing and acquiring goods and services in a timely manner. You will work closely with the finance and operations departments to develop and implement procurement strategies that improve efficiency and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for goods and services.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and negotiate contracts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop purchasing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Monitor market trends and analyze procurement data for informed decision-making.
• Implement strategies to minimize procurement costs while maintaining quality.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and suppliers.
• Prepare and present procurement reports to management.
• Develop strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in procurement operations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles

Languages
