Procurement Specialist

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Procurement Specialist to enhance our procurement operations in Cape Town. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, ensuring quality standards, and implementing cost-effective measures to drive financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best conditions.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with company requirements.
• Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
• Develop procurement strategies that support operational goals.
• Monitor and analyze market trends to optimize purchasing processes.
• Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and product specifications.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
• Assess supplier performance and initiate improvement plans as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field
• Relevant training or certification in procurement is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in procurement with a focus on supplier negotiation and vendor management
