Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Procurement Specialist to enhance our procurement operations in Cape Town. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, ensuring quality standards, and implementing cost-effective measures to drive financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Create and issue RFPs (Request for Proposals) to potential suppliers.
  • Facilitate supplier audits to ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with finance to manage procurement budgets and forecast expenses.
  • Conduct regular reviews of supplier contracts and assess renewal needs.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Lead negotiation meetings with suppliers to resolve issues and create partnerships.
  • Develop training materials for procurement processes and supplier engagement.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field
  • Relevant training or certification in procurement is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in procurement with a focus on supplier negotiation and vendor management
