Job Description

As a Wine Consultant, you will immerse yourself in the world of wine, sharing your expertise with customers and helping them discover new favorites. You will be responsible for promoting our wine selections through tastings and personalized consultations, making every visit memorable for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on food and wine pairings.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
• Foster a welcoming atmosphere in the store.
• Assist with online orders and customer inquiries.
• Develop promotional materials and assist with marketing efforts.
• Network with local wine producers and attend industry events.
• Handle cash register functions as required.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the tasting area.
• Attend wine fairs to stay informed about new products.
• Provide exceptional customer service to enhance client relationships.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science or a related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in the wine industry

Technical Skills

• Tasting Techniques
• Event Coordination

Certifications

• Certified Wine Educator (CWE)
• Advanced Sommelier Certification (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent
