Job Description

As a Structural Engineer with our firm based in Johannesburg, you will play a crucial role in designing and overseeing the construction of various projects, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop innovative structural solutions that meet client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural designs and perform calculations for safety and performance.
• Work with clients to understand project needs and expectations.
• Prepare and review technical documentation and project proposals.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
• Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
• Enhance design processes through innovation and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) certification is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in structural engineering
