Looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a creative mindset to join our Durban office. Your role will involve the design and analysis of mechanical components, conducting feasibility studies, and improving existing systems. The candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work within a team environment to bring projects to fruition.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects and oversee engineering changes.
• Interface with clients to clarify project requirements.
• Perform cost analysis and estimate project budgets.
• Monitor and report on project progress.
• Research and implement new technologies and methodologies.
• Contribute to team strategic planning and innovation initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering

Technical Skills

• SolidWorks
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Team collaboration

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with renewable energy systems: Knowledge in designing mechanical systems for renewable energy applications.
• Competence in data analysis software: Ability to use data analysis tools to optimize engineering processes.
