Agile Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. This role entails overseeing project plans, managing timelines, and ensuring project milestones are met. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and outstanding leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive project planning and execution through Agile methodologies.
• Assist product owners in defining and prioritizing project backlog items.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Promote transparency and visibility of project status to stakeholders.
• Coach and develop team members in Agile practices for greater effectiveness.
• Lead project retrospectives to identify areas for improvement.
• Establish and track project KPIs to measure success.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Agile Certifications like PMI-ACP or similar are advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years in a project management role with Agile experience

Technical Skills

• Scrum and Kanban
• Risk Management

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with DevOps practices: Experience with DevOps methodologies to enhance collaboration across teams.
• Background in software engineering: Technical background in software engineering is desirable to facilitate communication with development teams.
