Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and products. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and improve manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain design standards for mechanical systems.
• Analyze design specifications for feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for component sourcing.
• Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure product quality.
• Prepare technical documentation and user manuals.
• Facilitate training sessions for staff on new systems and processes.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Work closely with project managers to meet deadlines.
• Evaluate engineering solutions for sustainability and efficiency.
• Liaise with clients to gather requirements and feedback.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles
