Job Description
We are seeking a competent and skilled Brickmason or Blockmason to join our team for shipping operations. You will be integral in ensuring our construction and shipping requirements are met with high standards.
Responsibilities
- Execute brick and block laying tasks according to project plans.
- Interact with team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist in the training of junior staff and new team members.
- Monitor the quality of materials and work performed on-site.
- Adhere to tight deadlines and manage workload effectively.
- Assist in logistical planning for project completion.
- Collaborate with the project manager to ensure project timelines are met.
Requirements
Education
- Matric Certificate or equivalent
- Certification in cargo handling and shipping logistics preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the shipping and logistics industry or construction

- Cargo Handling Equipment

Certifications
- Certification in Operating Forklifts
- First Aid Certification
Languages
- English: Fluent

Advantageous
- Experience in maritime shipping: Hands-on experience in the shipping industry will be advantageous.
- Certifications in additional machinery operations: Certifications in operating cranes or different cargo handling equipment.
