Job Description

We seek a passionate Learning and Development Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing effective training programs that enhance employee skills and support their career advancement. You will play a vital role in assessing training needs, designing learning experiences, and measuring the effectiveness of training initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and consulting with managers.
• Design and deliver training programs using various instructional techniques.
• Program evaluations to measure training effectiveness and ensure improvements.
• Collaborate with department heads to establish annual training plans.
• Update training manuals and materials to reflect new content or learning technologies.
• Maintain a database of training materials and feedback from participants.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Organizational Development
• Relevant Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing and delivering training programs

Technical Skills

• Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Data Analysis

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
• SABPP (South African Board for People Practices)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with virtual training tools such as Zoom or MS Teams: Ability to effectively conduct training sessions in virtual environments.
• Knowledge of South African labor laws: Understanding of legislation governing employment and training in South Africa.
