Job Description

We are looking for a Software QA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and be passionate about enhancing the quality of software products. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and ensuring the highest quality of software before it reaches production.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans.
• Identify, record, and document thoroughly any bugs.
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software quality.
• Evaluate testing processes and suggest improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance roles

Technical Skills

• JIRA
• Cypress

Soft Skills

• Analytical Thinking
• Collaboration

Certifications

• Certified Agile Tester (CAT)
• CQIA - Certified Quality Improvement Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Agile methodologies: Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban practices.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools: Experience with tools like LoadRunner or JMeter.
