Civil Engineer

Job Description

Join us as a Civil Engineer in Port Elizabeth, where you will manage exciting engineering projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams in the execution of civil projects.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and interns.
• Monitor project expenses and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Evaluate project performance and suggest improvements.
• Liaise with local authorities and community members concerning project developments.
• Ensure all work aligns with safety standards and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Geotechnical Engineering

Soft Skills

• Analytical Skills
• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Project Manager
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with local building codes: Understanding of applicable regulations and standards in South Africa.
• Experience in road and highway projects: Hands-on experience working on large-scale public infrastructure projects.
