Job Description

As a Mechanical Technician, you will be a vital part of our engineering team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with machinery and be skilled in troubleshooting various mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
• Evaluate the performance of mechanical systems and recommend improvements.
• Assist in training new technicians and apprentices.
• Respond to emergency repair requests promptly.
• Utilize software tools for tracking maintenance schedules and work orders.

Requirements

Education

• N3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Trade Test certificate is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Technician

Technical Skills

• Mechanical systems troubleshooting
• Maintenance management software
• Welding and fabrication
• Hydraulics and pneumatics

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Communication skills

Certifications

• Certified Mechanical Technician

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Project management certification: Certification in project management methodologies is a plus.
• Lean manufacturing experience: Experience in implementing lean principles in a work environment.
