Responsibilities

• Create and deliver innovative science lessons that stimulate student engagement.
• Adapt lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Evaluate and document student progress through assessments and reports.
• Work closely with other teachers to integrate science across the curriculum.
• Encourage a sense of curiosity and inquiry in students regarding the natural world.
• Promote safety in laboratory settings and ensure proper equipment use.
• Lead field trips and outdoor learning experiences related to science.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
• Contribute to the school's community outreach programs focused on science education.
• Mentor and support student-led science initiatives and projects.

Advantageous

• Experience with environmental education: Background in teaching environmental science and sustainability concepts.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to teach in both English and Afrikaans to cater to diverse learners.
