Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to become part of our innovative team in Johannesburg. You will work on the development of cutting-edge mechanical systems, conducting thorough analysis and testing to optimize performance. Your strong technical skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will be key to driving projects from conception through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Utilize FEA techniques to evaluate mechanical components.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure deadlines are met.
• Analyze test results to improve product designs.
• Engage with suppliers to source components and materials.
• Update project documentation with design changes and revisions.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist in their professional development.
• Lead root cause analysis for mechanical failures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer registration is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering
