Clinical Pharmacist

Job Description

As a Clinical Pharmacist with Leading Pharmacy Group, you'll provide high-level pharmaceutical care within our Durban facility. Engage with healthcare providers and patients alike to enhance treatment plans and improve health outcomes through expert medication management.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and interpret laboratory results related to drug therapy.
• Advise on the use of formulary medicines and alternatives.
• Support drug utilization evaluations and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and support for pharmacy staff on clinical pharmacotherapy.
• Assist in formulary management with a focus on cost-effective prescribing.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with pharmaceutical sciences.

Requirements

Education

• Master’s degree in Pharmacy or Clinical Pharmacy is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of clinical pharmacy experience

Technical Skills

• Therapeutic Drug Monitoring
• Pharmacotherapy

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• Advanced Pharmacy Practice Certification (ABCPP)
• Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
