Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have experience in various civil projects, including road design, drainage systems, and urban infrastructure. Your role will involve coordinating with other engineers, managing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the construction of civil infrastructure projects and ensure they are completed on schedule.
• Evaluate project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare reports and documentation for project stakeholders.
• Provide technical support to project teams and contractors.
• Conduct feasibility studies and environmental assessments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 7 years experience in civil design and construction

Technical Skills

• SAP2000
• Microsoft Project

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma
• Safety Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of South African construction laws and regulations: Familiarity with the legal framework of civil engineering projects in South Africa.
• Previous experience in managing civil projects: Experience in leading teams and overseeing large-scale civil engineering initiatives.
