Pharmacy Assistant

Job Description

Join our pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Assistant where you will assist in daily operations including prescription processing, inventory management, and patient interactions to ensure high-quality service and care.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with pharmacists to dispense medications accurately.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored advice.
• Ensure all medications are stored correctly and that expired products are disposed of.
• Perform financial transactions accurately at the cash register.
• Help with customer queries and resolve issues professionally.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance knowledge of pharmaceuticals.

Requirements

Education

• Matriculation certificate or higher
• Pharmacy Technician qualification is preferred

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in pharmacy or healthcare roles

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
