Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Hospital Pharmacy Manager to oversee the pharmacy operations at our Pretoria facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing pharmacy services, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional patient care through effective medication management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pharmacy operations while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Ensure pharmacy services comply with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff in medication dispensing and consultation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary healthcare teams to enhance patient care and medication management.
  • Develop pharmacy operational protocols and train staff on new procedures.
  • Oversee budget management and financial performance of the pharmacy.
  • Ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing to patients.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manage pharmacy inventory efficiently.
  • Implement quality assurance programs to measure service outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice on medication therapy to healthcare professionals.

Requirements

Education
  • PhD in Pharmacy or related field
  • Advanced qualifications in healthcare management preferred
Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
