Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams in executing and delivering construction projects.
• Prepare bids, contracts, and proposals for various projects.
• Assess project risks and work towards minimizing them.
• Oversee procurement of materials and equipment.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.
• Ensure projects comply with local and national building codes.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• MBA or advanced degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in managing large-scale construction projects

• Cost Estimation and Budgeting
• Building Codes and Regulations

Soft Skills

• Negotiation

Certifications

• LEED Accreditation
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with international projects: Exposure to construction projects outside South Africa, enhancing adaptability.
• Proficient in additional languages (e.g., Afrikaans): Ability to communicate in other languages is a plus.
