Derrick Builder

Job Description

As a Derrick Builder, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and maintaining derricks used in the oil and gas industry. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with safety regulations, performing routine maintenance, and collaborating with engineers and other team members.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Mount and install prefabricated metal structures such as towers and bridges.
• Operate cranes, cherry pickers, and other lifting equipment to position steel components.
• Perform welding, cutting, and grinding to assemble steel components.
• Coordinate with other trades and onsite personnel to ensure the timely completion of construction projects.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments on-site.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Engineering or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction or a related field.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Crane Operator's License: Valid crane operator's license required.
