We are seeking a Mining Engineer in Port Elizabeth to join our skilled team. The successful candidate will design and optimise mining processes, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations. Responsibilities

• Plan and execute mining operations efficiently, ensuring minimal environmental impact.
• Assess and optimise mining processes for cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with environmental specialists to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Monitor the performance of mining equipment and processes.
• Develop training programs for staff on safety and operational procedures.
• Participate in budget development and financial analysis.
• Evaluate and implement new mining technologies.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management.
• Act as a liaison between engineering teams and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or similar
• Professional Engineering License (Pr Eng) is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in the mining sector
