Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will play a crucial part in securing our systems and data from potential threats. You'll be responsible for assessing current security measures, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing proactive solutions to combat potential cyberattacks. The ideal candidate will have a keen analytical eye and be passionate about protecting digital assets.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security training programs for staff.
• Coordinate with IT teams on security system integration.
• Manage and respond to security alerts generated by security technologies.
• Evaluate new security tools and technologies for adoption.
• Attend industry conferences and workshops to broaden knowledge.
• Perform risk assessments on current IT projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate in developing disaster recovery plans.
• Create and maintain documentation for cybersecurity policies and practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Master's degree is favorable

Experience

• 5+ years in cybersecurity or related areas
