Job Description

A Coater Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining coating equipment to ensure the production of high-quality coatings that meet customer specifications. The role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and efficiency in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate coating equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor the coating process and adjust parameters as necessary to maintain quality and throughput.
• Ensure that the coating line is supplied with raw materials as required.
• Complete production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on the coating equipment.
• Communicate with the production manager regarding any issues or delays.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and challenges.
• Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent qualification
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with coating equipment

Languages
