Job Description

We are seeking a talented Machine Learning Engineer to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing machine learning models and algorithms, with a focus on delivering efficient and scalable solutions. You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning capabilities into our products, contributing to real-world applications and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design systems for data collection, preprocessing, and modeling.
• Establish metrics for continuous enhancement of machine learning models.
• Collaborate with the product team to define the technical requirements for new features.
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings to align on project objectives.
• Train and guide junior ML engineers and interns.
• Prepare reports on model performance and present findings to stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field
• Master's degree in Machine Learning is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years in a data-oriented role focusing on machine learning applications

• R Programming

Certifications

• Google Cloud Certified - Professional Machine Learning Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with MLOps: Understanding of MLOps principles for model deployment and monitoring.
