Job Description

As a Tool Dresser at Manufacturing Solutions, you will play a critical role in maintaining, sharpening, and repairing various tools essential for our manufacturing processes. Your expertise will ensure that all tools are in optimal condition, allowing for efficient production.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on manufacturing tools and equipment.
• Ensure that machines are serviced in accordance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve tool design and functionality.
• Document all maintenance activities and communicate findings to the management.
• Assist with troubleshooting issues related to tool performance.
• Support the production team to ensure minimal downtime during operations.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Trade qualification in a similar field is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing setting

Technical Skills

• CAD software proficiency
• Experience with hand and power tools

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Health and Safety Training Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with hoists and cranes: Ability to operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
• Familiarity with CNC machinery: Hands-on experience with CNC operations and programming.
