Job Description

As a Pharmacist with Local Pharmacy Group in Cape Town, you will manage medication distribution and educate patients on their therapeutic regimen. A proactive approach in interacting with healthcare providers and the community will be key to enhancing patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all pharmacy operations comply with legal and ethical standards.
  • Evaluate patient health information to provide personalized medication recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy policies.
  • Engage in continuing education activities to stay updated on pharmacy practices.
  • Provide in-service training to healthcare staff regarding medication management.
  • Assist patients in navigating health insurance and reimbursement options.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
  • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a community pharmacy setting
