Responsibilities

• Assess the eligibility of applicants and evaluate their insurance risks.
• Work alongside the claims team to understand and mitigate potential risks.
• Engage with clients to clarify information and negotiate terms.
• Regularly review and refine underwriting guidelines to meet market trends.
• Develop strong relationships with brokers and agents to facilitate effective underwriting processes.
• Compile and analyze market data to inform underwriting strategies.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with clients regarding their coverage.
• Provide expertise and insight during renewal and policy amendment processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Business, or Economics
• Professional underwriting certifications are a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience specific to insurance underwriting
