Civil Engineer

Job Description

We're on the hunt for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our Durban team! The ideal applicant will have extensive experience in designing and overseeing infrastructure projects, ensuring all regulations and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Design roadworks, water supply systems, and drainage solutions.
• Provide technical advice and support to project teams.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Ensure quality control throughout all phases of construction.
• Participate in project meetings and provide inputs for planning and strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of grant applications and procurement proposals.

Requirements

Education

• BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years of civil engineering experience, preferably in infrastructure projects

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Geotechnical Engineering

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Creativity

Certifications

• ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management certified
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM): Experience in using BIM software for infrastructure projects.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers: Proven capability to guide and support less experienced staff.
