Job Description

The General Hardware Salesperson will be responsible for selling hardware products, including tools and equipment, to customers in a retail environment. The individual in this role will need to have strong interpersonal skills and be able to provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in finding the right hardware products.
  • Handle point-of-sale transactions efficiently.
  • Keep track of stock levels and manage inventory.
  • Maintain a well-organized and uncluttered store layout.
  • Provide expert advice to customers regarding product features.
  • Work towards personal and team sales targets.
  • Support promotional activities and in-store displays.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed in the store.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate or equivalent
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a hardware retail environment is advantageous.
