Job Description

We're on the lookout for skilled Shoe and Leather Workers and Repairers. In this role, you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality leather products. You'll also be cutting and sewing fabrics according to specifications while ensuring that all products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Utilize industrial sewing machines effectively.
• Interpret patterns and sewing instructions with precision.
• Cut materials and sew according to production standards.
• Implement quality assurance measures throughout the production process.
• Manage sewing machine settings for optimal performance.
• Execute minor maintenance on sewing equipment.
• Keep the workspace tidy and functional.
• Work with the production team to meet quality targets.
• Report any equipment issues promptly.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 10 or equivalent
• Formal training in textile manufacturing or sewing is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in operating industrial sewing machines.

Advantageous
