Geological Technician

Job Description

As a Geological Technician, you will operate electrical equipment to conduct geophysical surveys, analyse data, and communicate findings to our geologists. You’ll play a key role in the exploration of mineral deposits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geophysical surveys using advanced instrumentation to locate valuable mineral resources.
• Interpret and analyse geophysical data to provide actionable insights.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations of survey findings.
• Collaborate with geologists to develop exploration strategies.
• Adhere to industry safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Keep equipment calibrated and operational for accurate readings.
• Assist in the management of field crews and logistics.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Higher Certificate in Mining or Geology is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 3 years in mineral exploration or mining industry.
