Job Description

We are currently seeking skilled Underground Mining Machine Operators to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery in an underground environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy mining machinery safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment before use.
• Assist in drilling and blasting operations as required.
• Maintain accurate records of production data.
• Assist in the development of mining plans and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Participate in safety briefings and training sessions.
• Support the maintenance team during equipment servicing.
• Report any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Help train new operators as required.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Certificate in Mining Operations or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in underground mining operations

Technical Skills

• Equipment Maintenance

Certifications

• Certified Mining Operator
• Risk Management Training

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Tswana: Conversational
