Job Description

As a Mining Engineer at our Durban operations, you will play a vital role in designing effective mining strategies, improving our operations, and ensuring that safety standards are met. This role requires both technical expertise and strong leadership skills, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of mining projects to ensure productivity.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project deliverables.
• Develop budgeting and resource allocation plans.
• Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency.
• Prepare reports for stakeholders on project progress and safety.
• Assist in managing environmental impact assessments.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for necessary materials.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
• Postgraduate qualifications are preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in a mining engineering role
